“Why do you like doing that stuff?”

That’s usually the response I get after retelling some hiking mishap or anecdote. Being out in the dirt, cold, sun, rain, wind, bugs, animals, etc. is appealing to some and not to others. It’s not everyone’s cup of tea, and that’s fine! If it is though, I’m sure you’d agree with me that letting yourself be a little vulnerable to the elements makes hot coffee, sitting, food, and the lack of wind better than you ever thought possible. And in this culture I think it’s important to celebrate the simple things.

On this page, you’ll find my stories, lessons, and tips about exploring creation! Sometimes I’ll talk about a new trail I’ve discovered; other times I’ll share a comical tale about trying my hand at some new outdoor sport. So, if you love the outdoors yourself or simply like to read about someone else’s endeavors, check back here for weekly updates on my woodsy wandering!
